I've always loved cottages, warm and cosy, and there's nothing quite like a cottage garden. All that wicker chair needed was a cat, but as the crazy landlady said "A cat is strictly not in the lease". We did manage to guiltily share or borrow Dennis the Menace though, the cat from next door. He much preferred to be inside our cottage than out . Probably thought he'd get caught and made to return to his house. Furtiveness all round at No. 12. It's why outside, the chair's empty but inside warm hearts are full. Thank-you Dennis for making a stressful time in our lives with health and work, just that much more bearable, and while I share this photo from a while ago, we hope you're doing purrrrfectly well.

Animals are such good stress busters.
Whether they give us a reason to get up in the morning.
Or calm us down when we stroke them.
Or cuddle up to us when were sad.
I'm glad to hear you had Dennis when you needed him.
xx
word ver: aminal So ok it's dyslexic word ver but clever none the less
I have heard and read that pets can enhance one's health and perhaps even increase one's life expectancy.
good you could borrow one when needed.
There is nothing like a calm kitty to sooth the stress of changes life forces on us. I would say that you have a sweet new neighbor.
I miss that Sepia Scenes is not posted yet. Hope all is well with our host.
There is nothing like a pet to alleviate stress and give one a warm feeling of being loved. That wicker chair looks most inviting.
The sepia photo is beautiful. The place looks very much like a wonderful HOME even if you had to borrow the cat.
Very inviting porch!
The wicker chair and porch are perfect to set a spell. All animals that live in households are such good company.
I'd love a little cottage in the Southern Highlands. I vasilate between ultra modern and minimalist and cute and cosy. Sweet house. And it's true, animals give you something that human's can't . .I'm surrounded by the hairy beasts! *achoo!*
Black cats are my favourite ones
