We covered a lot of drought-stricken country kilometres ...had to stop for fuel...

Sums it up pretty much, the time, the place, the pace...although the extent of the drought left us flabbergasted we had a good time...more later.

I have been reading about the terrible drought in Australia. National Geographic had an article (devoted a big portion of this months periodical) to the effects of the drought, the causes, & how Oz is having to cope. It says Oz will be the leaders in teaching the rest of us how to deal with the effects of global warming, etc.
Hope you had a good holiday. Love the photo of the dog resting.

Complete with a cattle dog!

We have and a terrific drought for the past several years. Terrible. I hate it when the very air feels crunchy. However, since autumn we've had more than plenty of rain, so the drought has now officially been declared "over". I shall hope the same for you!

Looking forward to seeing the more. I hope you found some color in the midst of the drought. I'm heading out to my own garden now for some much needed cleanup.

I love the way that dogs just don't give a damn and you have to climb over them cause they is resting!!!
Welcome back

Even the dog looks as though he is longing for rain to fall. Drought is so terrible as everything dies off - farming must be in a sorry state.

I'm blowing some damp rainy weather from Britain in your direction Pam. We tend to forget how wonderful our rich green land is, and moan about the rain. But right now the weather is exquiste - warm and sunny and everything bursting into green. I'll put some green photos up on my blog for you to meditate on!

Cattle dogs are my favorite. I had a little red heeler once who was my soul dog...her name was Jake.

Drought is so terrifying. I take the rain for granted sometimes. Thank you for the reminder!

Enjoy the laid-back life, Pam!

I looked at these photographs again and they evoke different thoughts than the first time I saw them. Of course I love the Annie's and Mine show.

Perfect dog attitude over anything they encounter.
